Waterford - Bohemians
6th round Ireland Premier Division
Waterford looks very good at the beginning of the season. They have 9 points with 3 wins and 1 lost matches. vs. Derry City 2-1, St. Patricks 2-0, Sligo Rovers 1-2 and lost vs. Cork 2-0. Last match victory against Sligo 1-2. Waterford FC manager Alan Reynolds said: “It was a great win on Friday night but it has come at a price. We are down to the bare bones with injuries and illness so it’s going to be a very difficult game against Bohs. The truth is that the host has problems with injuries: Dean O’Halloran (mf 3/1), Akinade Ismahil (3/0), Bastien Héry (mf 4/1), Rory Feely, Garry Comerford, Dean Walsh and Gavan Holohan have all suffered from illness over the weekend and have been ruled out for Monday’s clash as a result.
Bohemians started a season with big win vs. Shamrock Rovers 3-1, but after this game, very poor shape. Draw vs. Limeric, and 2 lost matches vs. St. Patricks and Derry at home and they located them 7th position.
After all, I already said that the hosts have problems with injuries, but it would not be a surprise that Waterford today wins
