Minnesota Timberwolves - NY Knicks
The Minnesota Timberwolves play host to the New York Knicks, at Target Center on Sunday evening. This marks the second game of a back-to-back for the Timberwolves (31-35), who are coming off an overtime win at home, over the Wizards on Saturday night. The Wizards forced OT with a last-second bucket, but the Timberwolves managed to take the edge in the extra time and earn a much-needed win, as they look to keep their playoff hopes, however slight, alive.
Karl Antohny Towns is playing impressive this season and especially lately. Andre Wiggins (thigh) missed Saturday s action and remains questionable for Sunday. Meanwhile, this also marks the second night of a back-to-back for the Knicks (13-53), as they are coming off a loss at home, against the Kings on Saturday. Dennis Smith Jr. led the Knicks in the loss, with 18 points, five rebounds and five assists. Smith Jr. is averaging 13.4 points, 6.4 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 1.7 steals over his last 10 games.
Lately he is playing a little bit more minutes and this is good opportunity for him.
