Italy - Switzerland
Italy got Euro 2020 off to a flyer with a 3-0 win over Turkey in the tournament s curtain-raiser. Switzerland were made to rue several missed chances as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Wales. The last three meetings between these two nations have ended as a draw but the last of those was back in 2010. Italy have seen under 2.5 goals in their last 3 matches against Switzerland in all competitions. Alessandro Florenzi has been ruled out of Wednesday s meeting with Switzerland after sustaining a calf injury in their 3-0 win over Turkey. Napoli s Giovani Di Lorenzo is expected to deputise at right-back. Manuel Locatelli didn t take his chance in midfield in Italy s group opener and could be replaced in central midfield. Marco Verratti remains a doubt as he works his way back from a knee injury. Juventus duo Federico Chiesa and Federico Bernardeschi are both pushing to replace Domenico Berardi in attack but Roberto Mancini may keep the front three the same after their 3-0 victory over Turkey. Switzerland manager Vladimir Petkovic will ponder bringing Gladbach s Denis Zakaria into the starting eleven in midweek. Haris Seferovic is unlikely to drop out of the side against Italy but needs to sharpen up after spurning some good chances against Wales.Pick: BTS - Yes
