Liverpool lost two of their four pre-season matches, while Manchester City won two from two. This match doesn t mean a lot in truth but an opportunity to get more minutes in the tank ahead of the Premier League s start next weekend. Caoimhin Kelleher and Alisson have both been ruled out for Liverpool so Adrian will start in goal here. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kostas Tsikimas are both doubts. Roberto Firmino or Darwin Nunez will lead the line, while Harvey Elliott is pushing for a start for Jurgen Klopp s side as well. Phil Foden, John Stones and Ilkay Gundogan weren t able to join Manchester City on their tour of the US so will be a bit behind their team-mates in terms of fitness. Aymeric Laporte is out due to a knee injury sustained at the end of last season.
