Manchester United - Liverpool
This is Manchester United s second game in 48 hours and third in the space of four days. They lost 2-1 to Leicester on Tuesday, a bittersweet result that crowned Manchester City champions but also majorly dented Liverpool s chances of finishing in the top four. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be far from impressed with the Premier League for the way they scheduled this re-arranged game, basically gifting Leicester three points on Tuesday and crushing their hopes of clawing a place in the top four. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 8 of Liverpool s last 10 games. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 7 of Man Utd s last 8 home games. Liverpool are undefeated in their last 6 matches. Harry Maguire is still ruled out for Manchester United with an ankle injury and his absence is massive blow for the home side. Ozan Kabak looks set to miss out for Liverpool once again, leaving Jurgen Klopp with a problem at centre-back. Rhys Williams had an absolute torrid time against Manchester United earlier in the season so it wouldn t be a surprise to see Fabinho drop back into defence on Thursday.
James Milner or Curtis Jones are on standby to step into midfield if Fabinho is required at centre-back for the away side.
