Netherlands - Ukraine
Frank de Boer has struggled to make a impact following his appointment as Netherlands boss. The Oranje have failed to win seven of their last 12 matches. Ukraine won t be mere pushovers for the Netherlands either. They are unbeaten in six coming into Sunday s final game of the day and have conceded no more than one goal in four of those six matches. Ukraine are considered dark horses at Euro 2020 and with neither side prepared to give too much away in what is arguably their toughest group stage game, a draw is on the cards. Donny van de Beek pulled out of Euro 2020 with a groin injury to cap what has been a dire season.
Frank de Boer elected not to call up a replacement for the Manchester United midfielder. De Boer is expected to use a three-man defence, with the inexperienced Jurrien Timber potentially starting alongside Stefan de Vrij and club teammate Daley Blind. Wout Weghorst looks to have been given the nod ahead of Luuk de Jong to partner Memphis Depay on the frontline. Georgi Bushchan is now first choice between the sticks for Ukraine and should feature behind a three-man defence. Ruslan Malinovskiy comes into Euro 2020 on the back of a fine end to the 2020/21 Serie A season and may partner Roman Yaremchuk on the frontline. Andriy Shevchenko looks set to go for a three-man defence, with Manchester City s Oleksandar Zinchenko moved to left wing-back, though he has featured centrally for the Yellow and Blue.
