Sheriff - Shakhtar Donetsk
Sheriff come into the welcome of Shakhtar Donetsk on a good run of form having won their last four league matches. The Moldovan side have kept three successive clean sheets in Champions League qualification to help book their place in the group stages. However, Shakhtar are experienced heads in European football by comparison to Wednesday s opponents and they have lost only three of their last 11 Champions League matches, and were unbeaten against Inter and Real Madrid at this stage last season. While this will be a memorable occasion for FC Sheriff, Shakhtar have the means to crash the party in Moldova. Striker Lovro Bizjak is sidelined for FC Sheriff, which means Momo Yansane is expected to lead the charge.
FC Sheriff are the first Moldovan side to qualify for the Champions League group stages, so this will be a historic game for the hosts. Anatolii Trubin is sidelined for the Shakhtar, and that is likely to see the experienced Andriy Pyatov will likely feature between the sticks again. Marlon Santos should return to the defence the Ukrainian outfit.
